Vas is a Clinical Psychologist specialising in infant, child & adolescent mental health (ICAMH)
Professional Teaching Fellow within the Department of Psychological and Programme Director, Postgraduate Studies in ICAMH (Certificate, Diploma, Masters). He is clinically active in different roles, including visiting psychologist at Ngati Porou Oranga.
Current research interests include psychological problems experienced by children and young people with long-term physical conditions (chronic illness), eating disorders, autism spectrum disorders, COVID-19 related childhood mental health and the use of technology to improve the mental health of children and young people.
