Marthinus is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Senior Professional Clinician at Massey and an Honorary Research Fellow in the Department of Psychological Medicine at The University of Auckland. He has a range of experience in clinical work, teaching, and research across clinical, university, and private settings. His clinical roles have include Infant Child Adolescent & Family Mental Health Services & Paediatrics, through to Long Term Inpatient and Forensic services.
Marthinus is passionate about Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). His most recent research has focused on digital parenting interventions, CBT with children and adolescents, building resilience, and alternative delivery formats such as group and intensive delivery.
