Amy Bird is a registered Clinical Psychologist and Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology at the University of Auckland, Waipapa Taumata Rau. Amy has practiced as a clinical psychologist for over 15 years in Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia. She is a Named Investigator and co-leader for the Family and Whānau domain with Growing Up in New Zealand. Her research focuses on supporting positive parent-child relationships to promote children’s socio-emotional development, mental health and wellbeing.
